AIIMS Madurai is still under construction. The Centre has promised full outpatient services from 1 Jan 2027.

What we know
In a 17 Sept 2026 submission to the High Court, the Centre projected 59% overall completion by the end of September and promised full-fledged OPD services from 1 Jan 2027. The promise does not show that services have opened or that the hospital is complete.

- How much money has been released and spent so far?
