What we know
In Feb 2026, ₹48.85 crore was reported sanctioned for 977 additional beneficiaries, at ₹5 lakh each. This is separate from 6,727 people whose compensation was reported paid by October 2022.
A sanction does not show that the money has reached the families.

- What long-term medical care and support do affected families receive now?
